A flock of years have passed since Kim Soles began photographing everything around her; capturing the essence of trees, plants, insects and people. 

She paid close attention to detail. Her awareness and curiosity connected her with living things in an intimate way. A marriage of her art and photography led to 40 years of nurturing the work dearest to her. Her work allures you to pause and take a closer look.

The Adaptation Project involves photographic alteration. Kim portrays you or someone you love using inspiration; transforming your submitted image into an imaginative portrait. She works with hundreds of original images from nature, and determines how to merge them with your snapshot. 

What you get in return is an altered, remarkable photographic rendering.
